Hi Sarah! As usual I have about 42 different things (or not so different things) I’d love to talk to you about. But just 2, for now:
1) Thanks for your beautiful note to us, your readers. I agree, giving books and reading them to kids is love in action. So is your writing and our reading of Can We Read?
2) Having already read Tolkien’s The Hobbit and the Rings trilogy to my older guy last year, I’ve started reading The Hobbit to my 10.5 yr. old twins after breakfast/before they head out to walk to the bus stop. They are riveted, completely enthralled. And a fun way to hurry them along in their morning routine—they have to be completely ready to go before I read. A great motivator! Sending you our warmest regards, Tim
Tim, I always love hearing from you -- you can pretty much assume that anytime I mention tweens, I'm talking directly to you 😊
First of all, yay for The Hobbit! Would you believe I only read it for the first time last summer? (My brother has only been hounding me about it for 25 years, haha.) And second, I adore the idea of the kids having to be completely ready to go before you read -- that's pure genius.
Thanks for taking the time to comment and of course, if you ever want to talk in more depth, feel free to email me anytime.
You are doing such a good job reviewing books. Have you ever don’t middle grade March? Personally I love middle grade books.
Aw, thanks so much, Caitlin.
I've never done middle-grade March (or any other theme) but I do have a guest post on middle-grade novels coming up in a couple weeks!

I'm always inspired by your wonderful writing and thoughtfully curated selections, Sarah. Thank you!
Thank you, Zita! I didn't even know you read it 😊 so this thrills me. Thanks for the support!
