Oh what a great list! Thank you Sri (and Sarah!) I wanted to add one of my favorites into the mix as well: Five Trucks by Brian Floca. It’s about the 5 different trucks (ie baggage cart, catering truck, etc…) that are used at an airport. It’s so fun to look out the windows with kids and find them all/ watch them zoom around when you are waiting to take off and have just landed.
We are a BEARPLANE family, but now I want to go get ASK A PILOT because the questions always come! And I... do not know the answers. Thanks, Sri and Sarah!
I totally love the same thing about this community. My 10-year-old daughter asked me last night if I’ll ever run out of ideas for writing about kids’ books. I told her, no, I have too many actually. There’s so much to write about!
Yes! Sometimes people tell me they're jealous or envious or whatever (not of me, haha, but just a general comment about Substack) and though I understand that, sort of, I'd much rather operate from belief that there's room for all of us. Because there is.
For someone who is about to take two three-year-olds on a plane for the first time, this is very timely! Is there also a book to prep grownups for what to expect from their children??? (Ha!) Thanks for the recommendations!
Love the illustrations on all covers!
They’re so lovely!
Yes! ✨

I will check that one out!
Forget children, *I* want to read Five Trucks! 😂
Thank you for sharing, Sarah. And for the lovely introduction 😘
Thanks for letting me use it!
Wonderful! I placed a few holds at my library immediately. This will be helpful for my family—thank you, Sri! ✈️✨
Happy to help! ☺️

I LOVED Ask a Pilot! Honestly I think it’s a great book for the whole family.

Blank paper and dot stickers — hours of entertainment and then you can throw it all away when you deplane.
Have zero expectations! 🥴😅 Good luck, you got this!
