These books are exquisite. The Twelve Dancing Princesses was an absolute favorite of mine as a girl and I can't wait to introduce it to my kid when she's older.

When I was a kid, my family had a huge compendium of fairy tales. In my memory, that book was thick, with many many stories, with many different illustrators. Every time fairy tales come up, I try to find it. And this time, I was successful! I just placed a thriftbooks order, and I'm very excited to see if it holds up to my recollections.
