Would you be willing to add an age range to these books? It would help me filter what to order from the library. Because I want to order them AAAAALLLLLL, after reading your reviews.
Sarah, you’re not the first person to request this — I try to broadly suggest age ranges (“toddlers would love this,” etc) but have chosen not to be more specific because I don’t want people to pass over a book for that reason. My kids still enjoy some books that I’d classify for two-year-olds, even at 5 and 8, so you can see why this is a tough spot.
I love your book Elisa! My mom, who is also an artist, gave it to my children as a gift and we've been reading it for many years now. It's definitely a family favorite! Excited to read the interview. Thanks for sharing Sarah.
I want to read about the king who would not get out of the bathtub -- in him, I think I”ll find a kindred spirit. I also loved knowing there are stories like “It Takes A Village” -- it’s so difficult to imagine the world like this anymore and I’d like to read it for myself and then to a small child. I will have to rent the small child for now or borrow one....maybe a lost one who needs a little entertainment until his sister shows up?
This is one of my favorite things about children's books -- how they can, and regularly do, hold an idea of a world that could exist. It gives me hope. It certainly makes me believe in children.
