Sending hugs across the miles and praying for your mom’s full recovery...and for your navigation of all of it. Thanks for these thoughts on the Winter Solstice. I’m thinking it’s time for

me to embrace this season.

Continuing to send you and your mom strength and healing vibes. Also sending Past Sarah a high five, because her planning and diligence is allowing Current Sarah some time and space to be present on what really matters now 🩵

You are one of the only people who really know how much work I do in advance, so I had to smile at this -- Past Sarah probably said a bunch of stuff on Zoom like, "I'll be done with it all, so I can take some time off!" or other such nonsense 😂 But yes, I'm high-fiving her too.

There is no bear hug button, so this will have to do 🐻 🥰 💜

Sarah, my heart is so heavy and aching for you. I am so glad to hear that she is going to be okay, even though the recovery process is going to be hard and lengthy. I am thinking of you and wishing you strength in the coming weeks and months.

Sarah, what can I send you? Love, all the space for grief and exhaustion, all the gratitude I have for what you have brought to my life from halfway across the country, wishes of warmth and rest amidst so many hard, impossible, devastating things, support and even delight! in you giving yourself permission to give yourself a break, reassurance that your words in this newsletter have impact and power but that you, yourself are more important. You know how wordy I am, I could go on. Here are some emojis, a silly legacy you have given me, may they bring you a slip of levity .🕯💜❄️📚🎃💞☃️

Oh my god! Life has really put you through the ringer these last few years! I hope there are fewer health events in your (and your family's!) future, and that your mom recovers quickly and well.

In all honesty I will appreciate the re-posts. A lot of books you've already written about become newly relevant as the kids in my orbit grow and develop new interests ❤️

Oh my goodness, I think I came around after all these things (although I did read about your grandmother's passing), but *wow, that is a lot for one year*.

I'm so glad your mom is okay. What a traumatic experience.

Wishing you a restful holiday with your loved ones and much peace in your heart and mind while you recoup.
