I really, really appreciate that you send this out with enough time to search our library catalog for these titles and put them on hold / make our way through the holds list.
I love hearing this, Anna -- thank you! I'm so glad I can help.
I absolutely intentionally send these far in advance -- usually four weeks. Sometimes this means I'm talking about upcoming holidays before other ones have come and gone (often happens with Christmas before Thanksgiving), but as an avid library user myself, I know all about placing and waiting for holds.
Iām a former preschool teacher and now a mom of two under four and I canāt tell you how much I appreciate all the work you put into this newsletter! I am an avid reader and want so deeply to instill that love within my own children. Thank you so much for all your recommendations. Our little home library is growing, in part because of this newsletter. š«¶š»
What an amazing selection of books and I spy some of my favorites on your list! I've got Thanku: Poems of Gratitude waiting for me at the library and I'm so glad that it's one you recommend.
I love the poem "Time Piece" and requested the book. You've converted my family to poetry! Tonight at bedtime Claire requested that we read the Frankenstein poetry book.
I'm so thankful for this newsletter and echo what Ahna says below about sending out your seasonal recommendations well in advance so I get to the front of the line at the library. Incredible!
Seeing the flat lay of these books - the way they were lit and shared - was just what my brain needed on this day. Thank you - as always - for curating for the eyes and its many needs.
Iām so thankful for this newsletter!

The Thanksgiving Door is one of our all-time faves.
I love that one, too.
