Oh, I need to find Still There was Bread. I love a good book about bread! One of my favorite Thanksgiving reads is Sharing the Bread by Pat Zietlow Miller (not just about bread).
Do you know Baking Bread with Children by Lee Cohen? It's half cookbook, half story book about bread. Best with littler children, but incredibly sweet either way.
I didn't want to be that person who is rushing ahead to the next holiday -- I hate that -- but I also like to give people a lot of lead time for holds to come in from the library.
I love the advance notice to give some lead time for shipping from thriftbooks, etc. And also just want to say thank you for what you do, I see your email come through and it's like GOODY - ADD TO CART. I know everything you recommend is so thoughtful and timely and what you do makes me SO excited to read with my kids. There are a lot of ~not so good~ books out there and it can be hard to wade through. Thankful for your newsletter this season.

Sharing the Bread is my all-time favorite Thanksgiving book -- I reviewed it in my first special edition on Thanksgiving. I find it so beautiful.
Still There was Bread is fantastic -- I think you will enjoy it.
I definitely need to find both of these! Books about bread are my fave! Would love to read while making (or eating) homemade sourdough :)

Such a lovely collection! These are all new to me but soon it will be time to return our Halloween books and refresh our library collection.

They definitely take a while at ours! Usually 3-4 weeks especially in the children’s section.
