Heeeeey I know that book!!! This totally made my morning, thank you! And seriously I am so with you about Halloween and every single one of these picture books look like ones that I need RIGHT NOW. What a fantastic list!!
Okay I super love this edition!! πͺ I had never gone trick-or-treating or celebrated Halloween until two years ago with my (now) stepson. Iβm catching up on lost time and canβt WAIT to dig into some of these books. Especially Itty Bitty Betty Blob and the Poison Garden one!
What a fun list. I can always count on you to bring unfamiliar titles to my attention. Have you read The Pomegranate Witch? Itβs one of my favorite Halloween reads because of its spookiness, fantastic rhyme, and gorgeous illustrations.
Halloween! My favorite holiday! I even let me kids decorate one day early this year. Thanks to your helpful guidance, I had a calendar reminder that just popped up to "Plan a Halloween Hunt", but I just don't think I can handle it this year. I'm trying to give myself grace... but you are an inspiration and good for you for knowing what your limits are.
I've requested all of these from the library. Merci!
I'm not kidding when I say I am so torn up about skipping the Halloween Hunt, I had to talk about it in THERAPY π€¦π»ββοΈ Oh well, grace is a practice and never requires our perfection.
The dark way looks too scary for meeeee!! I love pulling off the big stunts and I also love half assing things when I need to! I hope your bat self finds all the joy you need from the season of ghoulish fun
Sarah, I'm late digging into your list, but I keep Halloween in my heart year-round, so it was right on time for me. I loved re-visiting Millie Fleur's Poison Garden. Our-difference-is-the-very-best-part-of-us theme never gets old. And this line is so good: "Some of the plants have teeth."

I'm so glad. (I loved it!)
itty bitty betty blob!?!! sounds so cute!
It is!
Ok, but can we get more info on last year's Halloween Hunt, because I kind of want to host one, too, now! π»
Ask me anything. It was totally nuts and one of the most fun parties I've ever had.
I can attest to its fun!
Ok what does it take to get invited to the next Halloween Hunt?!
I want to devour this list! Well done, as always.
Invited? Done. Attending? A very long drive on your part π
And yet, I would seriously consider doing it π
The wasp costume! βΊοΈ
I think you're the only person who remembers the trauma of my insane wasp situation π

YESSSSSSS! We love that book. It's one of our standby breakfast reads leading up to Halloween. The rhythm in that book is just out of this world.

Donβt Read This Book Before Bed seems like it would be the perfect thing for my kiddo. Thanks for the recommendations!!
Youβre welcome!

Itβs a gem. And thereβs a new Millie Fleur book coming out in spring!
