I gobbled up Applesauce Weather in one sitting. Such a good book! Love this list, Sarah!

Ok, I must check out Crick, Crack, Crow. Any book with a title like that deserves close attention.

Hello Sarah

I know someone of the same name but she ain't you! I appreciate the coincidence or we might not have met. ( I thought she might have taken up writing----- she is the creative type). I really enjoyed your book reviews and they have given me the incentive to write another children's story. I live seven miles from the Idaho border in Creston BC. Are you far away? I just signed on to Substack today.

Very best wishes. Julie Ewashen.

Hi Julie! Welcome. I live in Wisconsin, so yes, far away.

I love the sound of “Sometimes We Fall.” The topic and gentleness will appeal to my tentative and cautious first born. Thank you for another great list of recs!

I couldn't get all of these from our library, but we really enjoyed Crick Crack Crow and Betty and the Mysterious Visitor and I liked Applesauce Weather (I couldn't get Claire to sit through it -- but I'll try again).

I LOVE how you report back -- you're the only person who does it, and it just delights me.

Crick Crack Crow ended up being the sleeper hit of the season for me -- it grows on me every time we read it. I think it's really well done.
